Happy Birthday Reese!

So this past weekend, we celebrated Reese's 3rd birthday.  So I've realized that I'm not the best at taking pictures for the blog.  The only good pictures I have from the party is the pinata.  This was Moses's first pinata and he was pretty excited.  So all the kids got a turn to whack the pinata.

So here's Moses's action shot.  If the tree wasn't in the way, it would have been a better picture.

Well after everyone got a turn, we realized that you didn't hit the pinata to get out the candy and toys but pulled on the strings.  No violence these days!  So the little ones all grabbed a string to pull.

And nothing came out.  I guess there was some confusion about putting the candy and toys into the pinata.  OOPS!  It was all in the kids' goodie bags.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE!  Thanks for inviting us to celebrate with you!

It Seems the Time has Finally Come....

So Aaron has been bugging me about getting Moses's hair cut and I have been a little reluctant.  I love his shaggy hair.  But after this picture, I started to second guess it.  What do you think?

We made an appointment at Adventure Cuts to have his hair tamed a little bit.  So here's the before picture on the big day.  Notice the shocked look on Moses's face.  He wasn't too sure about this haircut either.

So here's my before picture...not really too thrilled about this.

And here's Aaron's before picture.  He was pretty thrilled about this....maybe a little too much.

So Moses was pretty excited about getting to sit in a cool car, and they even put on Wonder Pets for him.  Too bad he isn't into television at all.  When Dara (his stylist) put the tissue around his neck, Moses wanted no part of it.

Then it just got worse, because we had to put the cape on him.  He wasn't happy about that at all.

So the parade of toys began.  The train entertained him long enough to get his hair sprayed down and ready to cut.  With his hair all slicked, he doesn't even look like he needs a haircut.

After a few snips, we were onto the next toy, a light-up, spinning wand.

Then we were onto the cellphone.

After that came a musical butterfly.

We survived the majority of the haircut and then Dara pulled out the razor.

Moses wanted nothing to do with that!  It started out with just a few little whines.

And then it turned into full on screaming with Moses trying to climb out of the car.

So the haircut ended with me holding him.

So here's the handsome after picture.

The End of Summer

The Lederles threw an end of the summer party.  So of course, we didn't want to miss out on the fun.  They had a HUGE bounce house, which Moses LOVED!

He slid down the slide....

..over and over again.

He was quite proud of himself too.

Thanks Lederles for a great time!

Sunset at the Beach

We went to Moonlight to watch the sunset and it was absolutely gorgeous.  We definitely take it for granted.

It was great to hang out with the Lederles too.

Moses had a great time playing in the sand.  We all know how much I love that!

Now that Moses is walking, he loved running into the water.

And of course, Moses loved chasing his buddy, Maryn, around the beach.
