Halloween Festivities IX

After all the festivities, the actual day finally arrived....HALLOWEEN!  Since Moses had already worn his costume on Saturday night, he was all gung-ho to put it on again.  We packed up our little pirate in a wagon and headed around the neighborhood.

"Onward to the candy!"

After knocking on many doors and a basketful of candy, we headed over to Chris and Hillary's house to boogie down to some Halloween music.

Night came and it was time for Halloween to end.  It was a sad moment for our little pirate.

"I can't believe it's all over!"

Halloween Festivities VIII

With Halloween only 2 days away, it was time for our family tradition of carving pumpkins.  This year, Moses got really got into the mess of it.

"UHMMM...I'm not so sure about this!"

"OOOHHH.....I think I got something!"

"What is this slimy stuff?"

"YUCKY!!"

"Alright Mommy...if this is what we have to do, then I'll do it some more!"

"Look at all my hard and icky work!"

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"

Halloween Festivities VII

The Halloween festivities continued on with some trick-or-treating at Halloween on Elm Street in downtown Carlsbad.

After all of the Halloween activities we've done, Moses finally put on his pirate costume for this event.  Woo-hoo!

"What you've never seen a pirate drive a firetruck?"

"I think I can get use to this kind of ride!"

"I'm sorry Dad, but I get to drive the police car, NOT you!"

We're just trying to scare away the black cat.

Unfortunately, Moses was still a little scared of it.

"This was a GREAT night filled with candy, police cars, and firetrucks!  And I even wore my costume!"

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"

Halloween Festivities VI

Moses' buddy, Sam, had our annual Halloween Pajama Party on the Friday before Halloween.

Here's a picture of the tots in their pj's and the daddies (minus Regi, he got cut out of the picture....OOPS!)

Here's a picture of the mommies and one very large pumpkin.

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"

Halloween Festivities V

On the Wednesday before Halloween, Moses' Toddler 2 class had a Halloween party.  The tots were to dress up in their Halloween costumes and go trick-or-treating.

Trying to get 13 toddlers to stand together for a picture is hard in itself.  Trying to get all 13 of them looking at the camera is nearly impossible.  So this is the best we could do.   Notice someone that doesn't quite fit into the picture.

YUP!  That's right....our little monkey man wouldn't wear his costume.  Another Halloween activity without a costume.

"I'm standing next to some Halloween decorations, isn't that enough?
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"

Halloween Festivities Part IV

The next stop in our month of Halloween festivities was Spooktacular at SeaWorld.  The whole park was decorated for Halloween and there was trick-or-treating.  Just like before, our monkey wouldn't put on his costume.

"I don't need a stinkin' costume to feel the Halloween spirit!"

"These bubbles make me HAPPY!"

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!  Maybe next time, you'll be lucky enough to see me in my costume. HA!"

Halloween Festivities Part III

Since Mommy didn't get to go to the pumpkin patch, we headed back there again.  We made all the same stops as before, but this time we had more pictures to show of it.

"These goats scare me a little!"

"With the help of Daddy, I can handle these bunnies better than the goats."

"You know what I can do this on my own!"

With his courage up after petting the bunnies, Moses was brave enough to feed the goats on his own.

"I'm a BIG boy!  I'm not scared of these goats!"

Moses had a GREAT time jumping in the bounce house with his daddy.  The fun ended when Daddy noticed a hole in it.  OOPS!  Hope that wasn't us!

"I need to make my quick escape!"

"After that dramatic exit from the bounce house, I'm ready for my snow cone now!"

After his refreshing treat, Moses was ready to hit the spinning ride.  He rode it twice back to back.

"UHM...my brain is a little jiggled after that ride....twice.  I'm ready to GO HOME!"

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!"

Halloween Festivities Part II

Moses' Halloween festivities continued on with a trip to Brick or Treat at Legoland.  Our stubborn little man wouldn't wear his Halloween costume.  Not sure who he gets that from.

Moses heard the music and had to dance!  Notice that he isn't the only kid without a costume...so Mom and Dad didn't have to feel so lame!

"I'm slowly feeling the music!"

"Now I feel my groove!"

"Who could pass up dancing with a beautiful witch?"

"Alright!  I'm done now!"

All that rock star dancing on stage wore our little man out, so we headed to the Duplo room to put another side of his creativity to use.

"I am MASTER of the Duplo Legos!"

"HA!HA!  I AM POWERFUL!"

"Hey Celeste!  You want me show you how to drive this big piece of machinery."

"This is man's work!"

"Oh no!  Is she going to try to hold my hand?"

"Okay, I guess this isn't too bad."

"Hey, this is actually quite nice!"

"Oh wait a minute....this is a bit too much."

"After that, I think I can move in for the big kiss!"

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  Let the festivities continue."

Halloween Festivities Part I

Moses kicked off his Halloween festivities with a trip to the pumpkin patch with his Toddler Two's class.  Mommy had to work, so Daddy got to go for the second year in a row.  The first stop was the petting zoo.

"I promise I haven't touched anything yet.  So it's okay that my fingers are in my mouth!"

Our adventuresome monkey wanted to hit the ride next.  As you can see by his red cheeks, he thought the breeze from the spinning ride would cool him down.

"I'm HOT!  Why isn't this ride starting?!"

"Why is this girl crying?  She's ruining the ride for me!"

"WOO-HOO!  Now this is what I'm talking about!"

The ride didn't help enough with the heat, so Moses had to finish off his field trip with his first snow cone.

"This is quite refreshing!"

"HAPPY  HALLOWEEN!!  I can't wait to keep celebrating!"
