CHI-CA-GO

Two weekends ago, we headed out to the windy city of Chicago to visit the Melikers.  On our first full day there, we headed out to the suburbs to visit the Melikers and meet the new twins, Max and Molly.

Moses had a great time playing in the pool with Sammie.

Moses wasn't quite sure about Mommy holding Molly.

Here's Supermom, Amy, with the other twin, Max.

Matt and Aaron left to go to the grocery store and came back with the largest marshmallows ever.

"YUMMY!  Nothing is too big for me to tackle!"

"Look how big it still is.....after two bites!" - Sammie

"Just little nibbles and it will last forever!" - Mandy

Just sitting on the porch enjoying their popsicles.

"Hey!  I think I have brain freeze!"

"TEETER TOTTER!!!"

Moses' buddy, Charlie, was also in town visiting some friends, so we spent the next day with them on Navy Pier.

The first stop was a train ride on Thomas the Tank Engine.

Then we headed over to the Chicago Children's Museum.
"Hey Charlie, whatcha' making over there?"

Cheesy picture that needed to be shared.

Charlie and Moses showing off their fire fighting skills.

Moses decided that a little jig would help fight the fires.

"Unlike Daddy, I'm quite the builder!"

"Man!  I'm pooped after all of that fire fighting and home building."

Moses discovered a new way to go down the slide....backwards.

Next stop was to dig for dinosaurs.

The next day was spent at Millennium Park with the Meliker twins.  Moses loved splashing around the spray grounds.

And the night was finished off with a horse drawn carriage ride.

"WOW!  Look at all of those TALL buildings."

"This is the life!"

"Thank you, Fraido, for the great ride!"

And the last day was spent on a boat ride.

"I'm not ready for all of this fun to end!"

We couldn't disappoint and had a little while longer before our flight, so we headed to the carousel.

"Thanks Chicago and Melikers for a GREAT time!"

Chuck E. Cheese AGAIN....

Over the long Fourth of July weekend, Moses kept asking to go to Chuck E. Cheese.  So early on Sunday morning, we headed out to see good 'ole Chuck.  It was actually great because no one was there.

Moses rode on all the modes of transportation.  The first one being Chuck E's car.

Then it was the safari jeep.

Followed by the police motorcycle.

Then it was finished off with the horse.

After each one was ridden about 4 or 5 times, it was time to say,
"Adios Chuck E!!"

Still Trying to Earn My Keep......

With Moses about to turn 2, we decided that he was capable of doing more to help around the house.  He decided that he would like to wash the dishes....or "play in the sink with water".  Either way, he definitely knows how to rinse his sippy cups....over and over and over again.

"This isn't hard at all!  Why does Daddy complain so much when it's his turn?"

Getting Wet 'n Wild at Legoland

The new toddler waterpark area at Legoland opened in May.  We were finally able to go a couple of weeks ago and Moses had a fantastic time.  There aren't any good pictures because Moses was running and splashing around like a crazy man.

"Baywatch, here I come!"

So after hours of playing in the water, Moses was all done and changed into dry clothes.  So on our way out, we passed another spray area and what does Moses do?  Get soaking wet, of course!

The kid loves water!

Best Frenemies

If you know Moses and Ayla, you know that they have a true love hate relationship.  There are rare moments of love and now we finally have proof!

AAAHHHH!!  Now tell me that isn't the sweetest thing ever?

Civilized vs. Uncivilized Eating

A month can't go by without some good eating pictures.

"I'm a classy, civilized eater!  Don't mind the rice in my hair and on my arm."

"What?!?  It's just a little cream cheese!  Do I look good with facial hair?"

You can decide which one is the real Moses.

Goodbye Disneyland!

Our Disneyland passes are blacked out for the summer, so we decided we needed to see the fireworks one more time.  We got a late start, so Moses only got to ride "It's a Small World" and the carousel.

"I'm getting a little sleepy!  When are these fireworks going to start?"

Out like a light and the fireworks were to start in 20 minutes.  We decided to walk towards the tram to the parking garage and hope that the fireworks would wake up our little man.

"I'm up but still TIRED!  These fireworks better be worth it."

"WOW!  I love booms!"

"But I'm just way too sleepy!"

Goodbye Disneyland!  We'll see you in August for the big 2 birthday!

Legoland...Big Boy Style

As a toddler, Moses has become quite the monkey.  So needless to say, he has outgrown the little play area at Legoland and has moved onto the bigger play area.
"Yeah, I'm gonna climb this rope ladder all by myself."

"Watch me cross this super high rope bridge while dodging huge blue obstacles."

Moses went down the steep slide all by himself.  In the past, he would just sit up at the top and not move.  He definitely has grown up a lot!

"I'm driving a boat!"

Legoland has become a whole new park for our little monkey!
