Watch out Chi-Town.....Here come the Kappy's!!

Moses didn't have school last Thursday and Friday, so we headed to Chicago to visit one of our favorite families, the Melikers.

"Are we there yet?!?"

As soon as we landed, we headed to the suburbs to see the Meli's. Mandy and Sammy had an ice cream social at their school, so that's where went.

Can you pick out the kids that need to go to bed?!?

The next morning, the girls had school, so we headed to Kohls Children's Museum with the twins.

Ivy put her designing skills to use by decorating a house.  Watch out HGTV, here's your next star!

Moses and Max channeled their inner Lars Ulrich. Rock on Dudes!

"Look at the water! It's like magic!"

Ivy was pretty enamored by this.

Moses was pretty stoked with the water area too.

The best was how much Max loved the water. You can't tell by the picture but Max was completely soaked. The apron was pretty useless.

Ivy thought it was absolutely hysterical that Meli's were outside while she was inside.

We headed outside and tried to figure out who was KING of the JUNGLE GYM!

First up was Daddy.  Does he look like the KING?

Or is Moses the KING?

While the boys had their little contest, Ivy found a turtle to ride.

"I'm the PRINCESS of this turtle!"

Molly wanted to join in on Ivy's fun, but she wasn't too thrilled with it.

"HEY!  There's only room for one princess on this turtle."

"I'm stuck! I can't leave!  I HAVE to stay at the playground!!"

After fun at the museum, we headed out to dinner with the older Meli girls.  We went to Carson's for some yummy ribs.

This was the best picture we could get of us all. Bibs = Ribs. No Bibs = No Ribs.

The next day we headed to downtown Chicago for some touristy fun.  The first stop was Navy Pier.

Mommy and her lil big man!

Here's mommy, her little mini-me and her silly monkey!

After walking the pier, we decided it was time to ride some rides.

The first stop was the carousel.

Ivy was excited to choose her horse and get on.

However, when the ride started it was another story.

So we decided to try another ride that Ivy might actually enjoy and smile on.

We headed to the Ferris wheel which put a huge smile on Moses' face.

However, what about Ivy?!?  Look past the finger and you can see a little smirk and tongue on that face.  No sad face on this ride, just FUN!!

Next, Moses wanted to ride something by himself.  The only ride there was the lighthouse.

"WOAH!! I'm headed to the top!"

"It's just as fun to go down!"

After the rides, we still had some tickets left.  We had just enough left to put our golf skills to use.

Watch out Tiger Woods, here are the Kappy's!

Moses had some mad skills! He even got two hole in ones.

But he had his moments of bad golf (he gets that from his dad).

"Where did my ball go?"

Ivy also displayed some great skills.

She even got the ball in the hole once or twice. Or she could have just been retrieving other people's balls.

After about the 9th hole, Ivy was bored with the golfing.  She decided to test put her magic skills.

"Look Mr. Curtis, I can pull a ball out of Daddy's ear too!"

After 18 holes, it was time for a little snack. When you are in Chicago, what do you snack on? Garrett's popcorn, of course!!!

To say that Ivy loved Garrett's popcorn is an understatement, here she is in her popcorn coma.

After sightseeing, riding rides, mini-golf, and popcorn, the little ones were wiped out! So a mommy and Daddy got to do some shopping on Michigan Avenue.

Our final day in Chicago was spent at a pumpkin patch with half of the Melikers.

Mandy and Moses rode every single ride together.  First stop was the Ferris wheel.

Then it was the giant slide.  Max even joined in on the fun.

While the big kids rode rides, Ivy had a great time playing in a little house.

Then she rode a pony which seemed to be way better than a carousel horse.  Not that you could tell by her face, she actually did like it. It might have been all the horse poop behind her that she didn't like.

Then Ivy got to do her favorite thing.....JUMP!

After all the rides, apple donuts, fried Oreos and jumping, it was time to head to the airport.

Max gave Ivy the sweetest hug and kiss.

And Moses was pretty sad to say goodbye to his new, good friend, Mandy.  He couldn't even show his face.

We MISS the Melikers and Chicago already!!

Rock'em Sock'em Robots

Now that Ivy is getting older, she has been able to play more and more with Moses. One of their favorite games is Rock'em Sock'em Robots.

Here's an intense fight going on.
Who doesn't need a helmet when playing this game?

"I WIN!!"

Bath Time Shenanigans

Bath time is a definite favorite with Moses and Ivy. However Ivy hates getting water on her face, which makes it hard to rinse her hair. So Daddy came up with the brilliant idea to make crazy hair to help with that.

"Check out my new do!"

"Who has the BEST horns?!"

Game Day

Moses had his first soccer game this past weekend.

Here he is all suited up for the big game.

We were too busy cheering so we didn't get any good action shots. But here's a picture of the next World Cup Champions!! GO HOOSIERS!!

If you were wondering what Ivy does during the game, here it is.

Ivy's FUN Life

Our little Ivy has grown so much in the past few months. She has grown into quite the sassy pants. Now that Moses goes to preschool full-time, Ivy gets to do whatever she wants everyday of the week.  We started a music class that she absolutely loves.

"I'm jamming away on the sticks!!"

"I'm dancing with the scarves!"

Ivy likes wearing the scarves the best.

We also enrolled in an art class. Ivy loves playing with the play dough.

Another big hit is the special table. Every week, the teacher puts something special in it from moon sand to water.

And of course there's bubbles!!

In addition to her weekly classes, we've been hitting up every park in our area.  Ivy loves it because she can swing as much as she wants.

We also get some good girlie time in with some shopping.  This is Ivy with a few things that she picked out at Learning Express.

And sometimes, we just have some silly fun at home!

AVOCADOS!!

Besides all our friends and the great weather, Ivy misses avocados from SoCal. Unfortunately, avocados aren't as easy to get in Atlanta. A lot of the times, the grocery stores won't have them. I tried to get her to eat a Florida avocado, but she wasn't having it.

In the words of Ivy, "That's not an avocado!!"  I have to agree with her.  Their called slimcado..It's more like a slime-cado.

So the other day we were shopping in Target and Ivy found a "real" avocado. So of course, she had to have it. I told her that she couldn't eat it until we got home. Well that didn't happen.

"What?!  I'm not doing anything!"

She had poked a hole in the avocado and was going to town on it. She got busted red handed.

"MMM....MMM...That's the good stuff!!"

Who could be mad at this face?!?

The Next David Beckham!

Moses joined a soccer team through our city and started practice this past week.

This was taken on the drive TO soccer practice (granted practice wasn't until 6:15).  Who looks READY for soccer?

Now this kid definitely looks like the next Asian Jewish David Beckham!

Moses played soccer last year and there were a lot of tears from all the kids.  This year was a totally different ballgame.  The kids were actually good.  Check them out!

Moses steals the ball....

He dribbles down the field.....

And he SCORES!!  Didn't get a picture of that.
Ok, here's what really happened.

He passes to a teammate! What a great sportsman!

We are definitely excited about the upcoming season!
